The Department of Anaesthesia provides anaesthetic services for approximately 12000 cases per year. All adult non-obstetric specialties are covered including neurosurgery and cardiothoracic surgery.

We have a large Day of Surgery Admission programme and Day Procedure Unit, supported by an outpatient Anaesthesia Pre-Admission Clinic. Our Acute Pain Service treats over 2000 patients per year. Our Vascular Access Service inserts over 600 PICCs and 300 CVCs per year
